Watch this special film that is celebrating America’s love of camping, adventure, freedom, and connection. From early settlers moving west to modern families gathering under starlit skies, camping has long been part of the American spirit. The creation of national parks in the late 1800s turned vast landscapes into shared treasures where generations come together to explore, unplug, and reconnect.

A Journey Through Time

Campfire Chronicles is a timely, uplifting film that celebrates this enduring tradition through rare historic archives, personal stories, and expert insight.

As the nation reflects on 250 years of history, this special offers viewers meaningful, family-friendly storytelling that honors everyday Americans, the traditions that helped shape the country, and the simple magic of exploring this land  with sunlight on your face, wind moving through the trees, and the stories shared around the fire that linger long after the embers fade.

The Camp

This is the place we set up, our home in the wild. Even those of us who camped just a couple of times as kids—maybe only once—will always remember it as a significant part of our upbringing. We’ll cherish those days spent outdoors, nights in sleeping bags, stories shared around the fire, and stars twinkling in the sky.

The Kitchen

The Landmarks

These are the wonders that adorn postcards, the unique formations marking our trails, and the well-known landmarks we seek out—Yellowstone, Devil's Tower, Old Faithful, Mt. Rushmore. In an age of instant gratification, we continue to visit these destinations, appreciating their beauty.

The Trail

This encompasses the journey to our destination, the adventure that unfolds before us, and the uncertain path ahead. The advent of automobile camping has transformed the camping experience and expanded access to many. Much of the filming will take place on the road, reminding our audience that the journey is just as important—and memorable—as the destination.
 

The Campers

This represents a diverse group—from grandparents and grandchildren to Scouts and seekers, covered wagons heading west, affluent patrons following Adirondack guides, and retirees in their mobile homes. We leave the comforts of home to find ourselves transformed and more resilient on our camping journeys.

The Fire

This is the hearth around which we gather, the warm heart of our campsite, and the glowing energy that inspires us to connect. Since the discovery of fire, it has been central to human experience. For many modern travelers, the campfire may be the only time they encounter this flickering companion. We will explore its significance through time and its importance to us today.
